Can't use Ubuntu LiveCD to reset windows 10 password
« on: August 11, 2016, 03:03:26 AM »
I don't remember the login password of Windows 10. So i made a bootable USB disk with Ubuntu Live CD. I downloaded the chnptw and followed the online tutorial to reset the password to blank. Every time, i did this and Win 10 still asks for me password. This is weird. Is there other way to remove the password?

If  Ubuntu LiveCD didn't works for you to reset windows 10 admin password, don't worry, there are many other password reset tools like UUkeys windows password recovery, which help you reset windows 7, 8 10 admin password:
http://www.uukeys.com/reset-windows-10-password.html

Cain & Abel. Cain & Abel is a free, fast and effective Windows password recovery tool.

Kon-Boot.  Kon-Boot is yet another free password reset program, much like ONTP&RE. Just burn the program to a disc or USB drive, boot from it, and you're off.

Boot your computer off Windows 10 installation disk and you can reset the password using this method:
http://www.top-password.com/knowledge/reset-windows-10-password-without-reset-disk.html

Or use Offline NT Password & Registry Editor:
http://www.chntpw.com/download/

If you forgot the password of a Microsoft account, you can reset it through Microsoft password reset page:
