Title: scan error with SCX-3200
Post by: eddybb on June 10, 2018, 09:00:50

Looks like I am out of luck.

The darn scanner is detected by xscane , bit a hit and miss, as my pc has USB 3.0 only ports.
looks like I have better results when I connect the printer/scanner on a USB 2.0 hub.

The main issue is that xsane does not scan, just displays a

Failed to start scanner
Error during device I/O

I even installed the latest (1...39) drivers on HP's site.
I also put that "SANE_USB_WORKAROUND=1" option on .bashrc

any ideas/hint pls?

thank you,

OS: Ubuntu 18.04 (64bit)
