Scanning / Simple scan in mint 19
July 24, 2018, 12:56:54
I wonder if any one can help with a huge streak in the middle of an A4 page. Only happening with Mint 19. I recently migrated from 18.3.

I am using the Cannon Lide 200.

Hello, I recently upgraded to Mint 19 and need to reinstall the Samsung driver for ML-1675.

I have added the line into the sources.list
Also installed the Keyring using the deb file
But when it comes to running the sh script I get the following error.

accordingly I have run chmod on the install.sh

but to no avail

Hi, I have a Samsung ML-1675 with  driver2 1.00.39 driver on Linux Mint 18.3 64 bit.

I am finding every document that I scan in prints too dark. Other documents are fine.

My scanner is the Cannon 200 Lide using Simple Scan

I have tried playing around with simple scan brightness, contrast and quality settings which has not helped much.

I cannot see anything under system administration for scanners.

Can anyone help with that?

Thank you.

Printing / Samsung ML-1675 [SOLVED]
June 08, 2018, 11:38:24
Hello, I have had great experience using the Samsung printer with Mint 16 and 17 using the unified driver. I expected Mint 18.3 Sylvia would detect the printer using native drivers. Indeed, it does detect the printer but I keep getting firmware error message on the print outs.

INTERNAL ERROR - Please use the proper driver
POSITION:  0x0 (0)
SYSTEM: h6fw_5.49/xl_op

VERSION: spl 5.49 10-20-2010

I have my old installer file UnifiedLinuxDriver_0.92.tar.gz but suspect UnifiedLinuxDriver-3.00.90.tar.gz would be the latest version.

The only thing is that I am baffled why I cannot find an installation tutorial here. Or how do I start the installation process. Am I missing something?
