After installing samsung-configurator-data and samsung-driver-pdf-fix and printer-driver-splix everything is ok.
Thank you.
Using the following instruction, scanning is solved. But I have problem with printing!
Any suggestion?
General Discussion / How to completely uninstall?
January 30, 2013, 14:38:15
I try different solutions to work with SCX-4216F on Ubuntu 12.10. Currently when removing all samsungmfp* packages, the installed printer still exist in the print dialogue and the status is: "file /usr/lib/cups/filter/rastertosamsungspl not available"
Even when I install the packages, this status does not resolve.
In the previous configurations I had problem with scanning but currently after some trying, both printer and scanner don't work!
How can I completely remove all footprints and have a fresh install?
Installing Ubuntu again, is time consuming. Help me plz.
Do you have any experiment with Ubuntu 12.10?
Would you please give me a to do list to install SCX-4216F on Ubuntu 12.10?
It's really confusing!
It seems that the latest version has problem with Ubuntu 10.04 or 10.10.
Previously, I installed Samsung Unified Driver on Ubuntu 10.04. "Printing" and "scanning" worked perfectly. After updating using update manager, scanning had problem.
Currently, I upgrade to 10.10. I have the same problem.
Any suggestion?
After installing "samsungmfp-driver" and "samsungmfp-scanner" (both the last version), printing function works properly but I have problem with scanning. Would you please help me?
