Usualy I can fix m<y printer issues by myself, but this one has me clueless.
I use the repository for about a year and all was fine. I am using debian sid aka unstable on 64-bit with multiarch enabled.. Upto ~ the release of Wheezy printing was ok. I think I remember new drivers coming in after the freeze was lifted, but not sure. This is what I have:

dpkg -l | grep samsung-*
ii  samsungmfp-configurator-data                              2:1                                all          transitional package (may be safely removed)
ii  samsungmfp-configurator-qt4                               2:1                                all          transitional package (may be safely removed)
ii  samsungmfp-data                                           2:1                                all          transitional package (may be safely removed)
ii  samsungmfp-driver                                         2:1                                all          transitional package (may be safely removed)
ii  samsungmfp-driver-4.00.39                                 2:1                                all          transitional package (may be safely removed)

As you can see, all are transitional. The question is, transitional to what? What did I miss?

Printer mechanicaly starts up fine, but would not print. So I removed it in the cups-webinterface, tried adding it again and it does not show anymore. Reinstalled the available drivers and still no go.
If I have missed somwething obvious, please forgive me, I dide not have much time lately to thoroughly follow all things I should.

Well, as reading helps in a lot of cases, I did and found out about the name change. Deleting the transitional packages and loking for the suld-*-packages revealed them being installed already:

dpkg -l | grep suld-*
ii  libtiff3-suld                                             3.6.1-2                            amd64        tiff library - runtime and tools (suldr re-package)
ii  suld-configurator-2-qt4                                   4.01.21-1                          amd64        Samsung Unified Driver Configurator (Qt4 interface)
ii  suld-driver-4.00.39                                       4.00.39-1                          amd64        Samsung Unified Linux Driver
ii  suld-driver-common-1                                      1-2                                all          Samsung Unified Linux Driver (common files)
ii  suld-network-2                                            4.01.17-1                          amd64        Samsung Unified Driver Configurator (network connectivity)
ii  suld-ppd-1                                                4.00.39-1                          all          Samsung Unified Linux Driver (ppd files)

My cups version is: 1.5.3-5
Restarting cups and checking the webinterface still does not show the printer.

It's probably a USB issue rather than the printer driver - CUPS is not detecting the printer.  Try using a different USB port.  There was also a libusb update when the freeze lifted, so it is possible that is related.

You were right, and I should have tried that first :)
Thanks for the repository!
