Hi,

I have trouble printing on my CLX-4195FW. The installation seemed to work fine (first I installed version 1.00.06 (driver2) from the repository, then I uninstalled and tried the Samsung installer, same result). I'm using Ubuntu 13.04 and the printer is connected to my router via wifi. The printer seems to accept print jobs (status LED blinks, then the filename is shown on screen) but the status remains "formatting" for quite some time. Occasionally, after 10 minutes or so, the printer will spit out two pages, one blank, the other with what I assume to be a Postscript or PDF error message like the following:

ERROR:
undefined
OFFENDING COMMAND:
PDFReade
STACK:
print
StoreBlock
-mark-
-mark-
-mark-
-mark-

The messages vary. I've tried several applications (LibreOffice, the Ubuntu/Gnome test page) to no avail. The printer does print its own demo page if invoked over the web interface and I can also use the photo copy function of the machine perfectly fine.

Right now I'm trying the package for version 4.00.39 but I cannot detect the printer any more.

Thanks for your help,
Mirko

Ok, I have solved this. This seemed to be a combination of wrong driver (the CUPS webinterface showed two entries for the 4190-Series and it also discovered two printers) and bad wifi. Now that I use a wifi bridge instead of the inbuilt wifi adapter all seems to work well.
