CLP 315 with Debian Wheezy amd64
« on: April 25, 2014, 19:38:48 »
Hi,

I have a Samsung CLP 315. I tested the printer with a 32 bit  debian wheezy. I got horrible output with foo2qpl and then I tried the driver from this page. The output was better but there was too much red in the picture and it didn't look good. Then I went to the samsung website http://www.samsung.com/de/support/model/CLP-315/SEE-downloads and downloaded the driver version 3.00.65 . I installed this driver and it worked. The colors were almost ok. Then i tried this on my wheezy amd64 server. The other printer drivers had the same output. After installing the driver from the Samsung website, I printed a test page. The page has the half/double problem.

The drivers from the repository give bad results. How can I get good results with my amd64 server?

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried the 3.00.65 driver from the repository?

Otherwise, you don't need the repository if the direct install works for the server.
