Printer model: clx-3180
Linux dist: Linux Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Connected: Network ipp
Unified Driver Configuration:
Version:
Common 3.00.71
Printer 3.00.24
Scanner 3.00.19
Build 279

Unified Driver Configuration - Printers tab:
clx3180 (default)
Selected printer:
Local printer(idle)
Model: Samsung CLX-3180 Series (SPL-C)
URI: ipp://192.168.0.53

Problem:
Everything seems to be correct.
When I do a print job it displays messages that it went well. But it will not print from the printer.
I print from my wife's Windows 7 computer, printing works ok.
I can access the printer through: http : //192.168.0.53/sws/index.html
And from there I can print, for an example, Network Configuration Report, from page: Print information.
If i go to: Unified Driver Configuration, tab Printers and press button: Test... and select; Check printer and Print test page, press button Start.
I get a Finished window wich respond:
'clx3180' (Samsung CLX-3180 Series (SPL-C) in ipp://192.168.0.53
Checking driver... OK
Printing test page... Ok
Two message appear: first: Printing, and then: Finished

But nothing happens in the printer, no Test Page.

Same if I try to print from document page. Messages says ok but no print.

So, what should I do?

This implies that you are using the 3.00.71 package from the Samsung installer rather than the repository packages.  I suggest starting by removing that and using the repository.  (Especially because although I know that is the "official" version for the clx-3180/3185, drivers between 3.00.65 and 4.00.xx were fairly spotty.)  However, the other issue could the use of IPP, which is not entirely reliable with some Samsung driver/printer combinations.  Perhaps setting up the printer with LPD instead would help.

Thanks

I uninstall the old one and install the new one after the instructions on the page: "The Samsung Unified Linux Driver Repository"

Now i have the driver for Samsung CLX-3175 installed. The printer is a: Samsung CLX-3185FW. But it seems that it works.

I have not check everything yet. So, if I run into problems I will return.
