Success Stories / SCX 3405W - Linux Mint 15

4.00.39 worked perfectly for me.  Thanks.

Thought I'd let you know about my experience with various driver versions. I recently bought this printer and only use it via my home network. Ubuntu 11.04 worked fine with samsung supplied driver. New Laptop with Win8 -> Mint 15 dualboot -> No Printing -> SULDR

Support is listed as:
Printer(s)     PPD(Printer Series)    Minimum Version      Maximum Version   Scanning Support
SCX-3405    SCX-3400                     4.00.36                              -                          Xerox MFP

So I started with the 4.00.36 version.

....36 = No Printing but could scan (tested with xsane)
Well I lie, I think it printed a test page about 15minutes later. But other than that it was pretty much dead :P
....35 = Printing but no scanning
....39 = All works perfectly :D

Note:
- Had some issues with IPP:// and RAW connections. Which is what it initially defaulted to when adding the printer.
- Best results with either IPP14:// and LPR/LPD (dnssd://) when using the 1st 2x drivers.
- Installed both configurators versions with the 1st 2 drivers, but they didn't change my results above.
- Therefor used dnssd:// with .39 from the start. No need for the configurator
(Device URI = dnssd://samsung%20scx-3400%20series%20(*****************)._printer._tcp.local/    Whatever that means :P )
