Hello! Thanks so much for your work on these drivers.
I figured out at the Dell b1165nfw was actually using the Samsung universal installer, and followed steps in your site to get it scanning! I guess I'll write a short summary here of what I did since your website already explains it pretty well. I gave a longer and more beginner-oriented explanation of what I did on the Dell forums: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/peripherals/f/3528/t/19582644
Quick steps:
Run sane-find-scanner (I had to run with sudo) to get vendor and product id.
Add the repository
install suld-driver-4.00.39
Add "usb <vendorId> <productId>" to /etc/sane.d/xerox_mfp-smfp.conf
Add
ATTRS{idVendor}=="0x0bda", ATTRS{idProduct}=="0x0129", ENV{libsane_matched}=="yes"
To:
/etc/udev/rules.d/99-libsane-samsungmfp.rules
Again, thanks so much for your work on this!
