CLX-4195FW/TEG; Debian 10.4; printing is fine, scanning doesnt work

I am running Debian 10.4 on a Fujitsu Lifebook E556. The MFPs firmware is up to date. It is connected with my private wlan network. I installed the latest uld driver from the HP support website. Printing works fine. Scanning not at all.
I stumbled upon the uld repository while searching for a solution to the scanning issue which I couldnt find yet.
